I qualified as a psychologist in 2016 but have been working with both children and adults struggling with a wide range of mental health issues since 2012. I currently work full time for a fostering and residential care service providing assessment and therapy to children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, as well as training and consultation to those who care for them.

Prior to this I ran a mental health service for disadvantaged young people age 16-24 and have also worked within a secondary care psychoses team within the NHS, in both primary and secondary schools and in the third sector.

I offer assessment and therapy to children adolescents and adults drawing upon a range of therapeutic approaches including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), compassion focused therapy, play therapy and mindfulness in order to tailor an integrated approach that will meet the needs of each individual client.

However my focus is always on creating a safe and secure environment for my clients in which a trusting relationship can develop. I understand that this is something man can struggle with and I am able to offer a patients and consistent way of working, which allows us to overcome this at a pace the client is comfortable with.
