Kay worked for over 20 years in the N.H.S. as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, service manager, trainer and therapist. She now works as an independent practitioner at The Orchard. Kay is co-author of “Breaking Free” and the “Breaking Free Workbook” and also facilitates training workshops to many professional and voluntary groups. She specialises in working with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing); sometimes combined with CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) and a Process Oriented Approach.

Kay is a Chartered Psychologist (with the British Psychological Society), a Clinical Psychologist (registered with the Health Professions Council) and a Chartered Scientist (registered with the Science Council and the British Psychological Society).

Specialist Areas

Therapy: Trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety and stress, phobias, traumatic bereavements, work-related problems.

Performance Enhancement - using EMDR to rapidly and effectively improve performance in high achievers.

Kay has very few spaces left for private therapy clients in 2010; there are spaces available for Performance Enhancement.

Qualifications

BSc, M. Phil, MSc in Clinical Psychology, C.Psychol, CSci, AFBPsS.

Accredited EMDR (Europe) Consultant.

Days and hours of work

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11am to 5pm.
