Indian Head Massage

Head massage has been practised in India for over a thousand years. Originally it was used regularly by women to promote hair growth, condition and lustre. The massage covers the upper back, arms, shoulders, neck, head, ears and face and works in a firm and gentle rhythm to help un-knot blockages and relieve uncomfortable build up of tension.

People have found it relieves symptoms such as upper backache, shoulder pain, headaches, eyestrain and sinusitis. Indian Head Massage needs little space in which to practise as it is done sitting up. This allows the technique to be carried out virtually anywhere, particularly as it can be done with the receiver clothed.
