Heather qualified as a Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) in 1991 and has served in the Royal Air Force for 14 years working with soldiers, sailors and airmen suffering from a wide range of mental health issues. She has specialised in treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and is qualified in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). She now works as a Cognitive Behaviour Psychotherapist and is accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherpists (BABCP).  

Specialist Areas

Adult Mental Health, General Anxiety Disorders (panic, stress, phobias).  Depression, Eating Disorders, OCD, PTSD, trauma management, adjustment disorders, occupational issues, low self-esteem, self-harming behaviour, sexual abuse, stress management. 

Qualifications

RMN, BSc(Hons) Mental Health, Post-Graduate Diploma in CBT, EMDR, Foundation courses in Hypnotherapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy.
