Rachel Phillips
Chartered Clinical Psychologist
Rachel has worked as a Clinical Psychologist in the NHS for 14 years. She has worked in the fields of Neuropsychology and Health Psychology at St James University Hospital (Leeds) and in the Adult Psychological Therapies Service at York District Hospital. Alongside her commitment to high quality work, she has taught and supervised trainees on the University of Leeds Clinical Psychology Doctoral Degree Course. Rachel works with adult clients on an individual basis offering psychological therapy drawn form a broad base of psychological theories including:- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Person centred therapy, Psychodynamic therapy and inter-personal psychotherapy.
Specialist Areas
Recurrent depression, adjustment to major life changes, work-related stress, adjusting to the impact of physical illness/chronic pain, bereavement and loss, poor self-esteem and self-worth, eating disorders.
Qualifications
BSc in Psychology, PhD in Neuropsychology, MSc in Clinical Psychology and Psychology and Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Supervision.
Days and hours of work
Wednesdays and Fridays.
