Consultant Psychiatrist

Gareth qualified in medicine in 1981 from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. He undertook postgraduate training in Psychiatry with the military. In 1990 Gareth took up an NHS Consultant post in adult and old age psychiatry at Northallerton, where he was also the director of postgraduate medical education.  Between 2000 and 2009 Gareth was mainly based at the Cygnet Hospital Harrogate, where he was the Medical Director. He now undertakes full-time independent psychiatric practice.
