Sally Forman
Psychotherapist, EMDR Practitioner, Supervisor
Sally has been involved in creating relationships and the space in which people can grow, evolve and change, for over 20 years in schools, the community and in private practice. She is passionate about people, young and old, living lives that have meaning and are fulfilling in whatever way is unique to them as individuals.
Sally’s background was in primary school education as both a class and special needs support teacher. Since 1997 she has worked as a psychotherapist, training therapist, supervisor and consultant in private practice with adults and young people.
In 1998 she established and ran for 11 years, a psychotherapy service called Special Time in Parkhill Junior School, Redbridge. This service provided individual therapy for children and their caregivers; groupwork; whole class circle work and support and training for staff. She also ran a counselling/coaching service in Chigwell Independent School, Essex for pupils, caregivers and staff. Since 2008 Sally has been working as a Co-Active Life Coach with adults and young people.
Creating a relationship that enables a space that is both safe and courageous for the client is important in Sally’s work. From this Sally aims to explore what matters to each individual in their life and create meaningful long lasting change for the present and future.
Sally draws on a rich pool of theory, tools and resources including attachment, object relations, relational, gestalt, trauma, NLP, EMDR and Co-Active coaching. She works through play and story-telling with children.
