Suzanne has worked in the NHS since qualifying in 1992 as a Clinical Psychologist. She still works four days in the NHS and has a professional head role alongside her clinical caseload. Suzanne has previous experience with people with a learning disability and of working with people with the full range of mental health problems specialising in eating disorders and primarily working with people who have experienced trauma; childhood sexual abuse; OCD; depression; anxiety etc. Suzanne is also a qualified teacher and is an honorary lecturer at a number of universities. www.therapyyorkshire.co.uk

Therapy offered

I use a number of different therapeutic modalities driven by the needs of the individual; including CBT, mindfulness based approaches (MBCT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Exploratory (eg FEP) approaches. I believe that developing a good, safe therapeutic relationship and enabling the client to understand and feel empowered to make changes ensures that therapy is more helpful.
