Sharon Bairstow
Psychotherapist/Counsellor (MBACP)

Sharon has worked in a variety of settings including local authority and primary care, working with a wide range of issues. Sharon is a member of BACP (MBACP) and offers both short and long-term therapy using an integrative approach which is based around each individual clients specific needs. Sharon provides individual and couple therapy. She also works therapeutically with children and feels this brings to her work an understanding of the full developmental process from infancy to adulthood.

Specialist Areas
Sharon feels that clients come with a wide range of difficulties however believes that regardless of the problem, underpinning this is the relationship we have with our ‘Self’ and others. She has particular interest in issues such as pregnancy, fertility and mother/infant attachment. Additionally she has completed advanced training in dissociation, trauma and the effects of childhood abuse in adulthood. She is a member of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (www.isst-d.org).
Qualifications
Graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, Leeds Metropolitan University. BSC Therapeutic Counselling. Post graduate certificate in integrative psychotherapy (child specialism) ongoing.

£45.00 individuals, £50.00 couples.
Reduced rates for students in therapeutic training. I am registered as part of Leeds Metropolitan University counselling network.
