“After meditation I feel so relaxed, calm and focused – my thoughts are distant ripples… Its great. Diane has such a great voice “
Karen

I noticed today the rich sounds of birdsong from the dawn chorus until now midday, it is uplifting and reassuring.

I have always had a respect for the relationship between the mind and the body. I experienced personally how my mind influenced my feelings, emotions, and physicality in a negative way several years ago. This lead me to study many different types of meditation and yoga, until I found a way that felt right for me. I then began to run meditation classes for stress, infertility and children. My beginners class is always a closed group to establish continuity and and a way to practice, for those more established in meditating - classes run as an open group.

Mindfulness is being present, having greater awareness of what is happening right now.

There is a lot to be said for s-l-o-w-i-n-g d-o-w-n your mind. Most of us have at one time or another a lot passing through our minds, frequently without us really paying it much attention until the thoughts are more pressing. This is often referred to as ‘the chattering monkey’. When your thoughts are taking over and becoming repetative or destructive..interfering with your well being.? This is when its good to learn meditation and mindfulness. To learn to let your thoughts blow away like the blossom off the cherry tree.

Clear the mental clutter, learn – yes learn – to relax, listen to and love our bodies, we create balance and a peaceful internal state, as we take responsibility to nurture ourselves.. THEN we open to new possibilities.

Meditation gives you space in your head, time on your hands and a wonderful opening for your creativity to blossom in. I guarantee you feel differently when you do this.

All it takes is a willingness to have a go. To take a small amount of time each day and try it.

Clear the mental clutter, learn – yes learn – to relax, listen to and love our bodies, we create balance and a peaceful internal state, as we take responsibility to nurture ourselves.. THEN we open to new possibilities.
