Mr Avelino Santos is a fully insured and qualified remedial massage therapist, trained at the Northern Institute of Massage in Bury. He loves working with clients of all ages, genders and personalities, who want to participate in learning how to feel better in their body. When you go to him for body work therapy, you will be an active participant, helping him to discover how your body is currently moving and creating a program to restore movement, regain function, and reduce pain.

Mr. Santos believes that patient care is of the utmost importance and treats every patient like they are one of his family, making each patient feel special during each session. He uses an integrated combined approach to patient management which includes deep remedial massage, mobilisation, stretching, strengthening, deep tissue massage and a wide range of manipulative therapy techniques including electrotherapy. These techniques are tailored to best suit each patient’s individual needs.

Specialist Areas

His specialist interest in musculoskeletal disorders, nerve injury, chronic pain assessment and management and general rehabilitation, resulted from work related injuries, motor vehicle accidents, structural /postural/compensatory imbalance injuries and sports injuries. Mr Santos also uses an integrated holistic therapy to help clients with anxiety, stress, insomnia and depression.
He has treated many local residents, neighbors, families and friends who have been coming to him for help with injures. His success and strength lies in his ability to integrate a holistic approach for solutions to musculoskeletal and structural disorders/injuries and their causes.

Qualifications

Mr Avelino Santos, trained remedial massage at the Northern Institute of Massage in Bury. He holds also a BSc (Ost) qualification and an extensive background training in Osteopathy, and BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences.

He has over 15 years’ experience as bodywork therapist and over 9 years’ experience working in the field of pathology within the NHS in the U.K.

He is currently, studying advanced remedial massage focus on improving the overall health of each individual clients, assisting them in reaching their optimal health goals and posture through the utilisation body work therapies and rehabilitation.
