I have been qualified as a child psychotherapist for ten years.

I have varied work experience, from the NHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health – CAMHS), as a school therapist and as an independent practitioner. In this work I offer work for children and parents and young children who have started school. I supervise other professionals.

I worked on a National RCT on Depression in 11-18 year olds from 2010 to 2013. During this time I was based in a CAMHS team focussing on 16-18 year olds. I saw young people and parents. I co-ran a group to support those practitioners who were working with parents of young people on the study who had depression. I presented a paper on this group to an ACP conference. I provided supervision to those from other disciplines.

I became a psychotherapist for the Clinic for Dissociative Studies in 2015 and currently provide weekly individual therapy for people who have a diagnosis of dissociative identity disorder. I offer peer supervision for a psychiatrist colleague who had individuals with this kind of presentation on her case load.

Before training as a child psychoanalytic psychotherapist I worked as a teacher of children with learning disabilities and following that as a social worker.
