Tim Moss

Psychodynamic Psychotherapist

Alongside being an Associate Psychotherapist at the Orchard I am a Lead Psychological Therapist in the NHS and have a private practice near Halifax. I am also experienced in working with young adults in university educational settings.

Therapy offered

I offer psychoanalytically oriented therapy, working with people once or twice weekly, depending upon their needs.

Sometimes, when something feels very painful we might find ourselves trying to ignore it. Often we understand and know this is what we are doing, but when we don’t we might bury these feelings so deeply that we lose sight of them. These past experiences and feelings, of which we might be unconscious, can continue to affect our present behaviour. I provide a safe place to help us to discover and talk about how you think and feel and to understand what might be causing you to have difficulty in the present.

Specialist areas

I work with people experiencing;

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Trauma and the consequences of abuse and maltreatment
  • Grief and loss
  • Behavioural difficulties
  • Relationship problems
  • Development needs
  • Emotional difficulties
  • Boarding School syndrome

This list is not exhaustive and my approach is to think with you about the difficulties you are experiencing, to help you to gain insight and understanding and to enable change.
